Owasco Lake
The Auburn Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs of Auburn decided to help finance the acquisition of a camp on Owasco Lake. Some time previous Charles A. Hadselle's lake cottage had unfortunately been destroyed by fire. This site was selected and purchased by the Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs. This action provided "Camp Rotary" from henceforth to become an invaluable adjunct to Scouting.
The first building at Camp Rotary was put up by the Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs and was used as the nature lodge for many years.
